Green Mountain Falls, Colorado

Green Mountain Falls is just west of Colorado Springs if you take Hwy 24 West just a little over 10 miles. At an altitude of 7,800 feet, the town is nearly hidden in a beautiful mountain valley, surrounded on almost all sides by Pike National Forest and stunning landscapes. Natural beauties in the area include creeks, waterfalls, a lake - on which Gazebo Island is a focal point of interest and history, rugged cliffs, wildflowers, abundant wildlife and an extensive trail system all help capture the town’s strength and charm. It’s truly a sight for anyone to see.

Green Mountain Falls is a quiet and peaceful mountain town with an average population of around 875.  The number of people in Town increases in the summer as people from other places arrive to use their family cabins or enjoy a stay at a local Short-Term Rental property.  Our summer residents come to show their appreciation and share our love of our community and its mountain living experience.

Rustic log cabins, Victorian homes, all the way to modern homes, Green Mountain Falls has an exciting mix of architecture.  Our Historic character is reflected in the preservation of town structures including the original land office building, hotels, and the Church in the Wildwood.  The town’s focal point is an 1890 Victorian Gazebo which can be rented for weddings and other events.

Green Mountain Falls is in both the El Paso County and the Teller County. The town's location supports a unique lifestyle in providing a beautiful natural setting for a mountain home, plus employment opportunities, services, and city cultures found here and nearby in Woodland Park, Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs.
